Effect of individualized training program based on force-velocity profile on jump parameters

Abstract (EN)
Objective: The aim of the study is to display parameters related to individualized training instructions based on the force-velocity (F-V) profile. Method: 9 volleyball players (age: 13.56 ± 0.73 years; height: 1.73 ± 0.08 cm; weight: 57.72 ± 7.97 kg) voluntarily participated in the study, who regularly train at Akdeniz Bilgi Sports Club in Antalya. To determine the F-V profile of the participants before the training program, squat jumping was performed with different weights (19.5 - 34 kg) with an increasing loading protocol. Then, an individual training program was prepared in accordance with the F-V profiles of the athletes and applied for 6 weeks. For the kinematic evaluation of the spike jump performance before and after the training program, it was recorded with a camera placed in the lateral direction. Results: As a result of the kinematic data analysis of the participants, a statistical 52.65% decrease was observed in the first-to-last step length, while an increase of 40.8% was observed in the last step length. A statistical 10.08% increase was observed in the last step times of the athletes, 7.6% increase in ground contact times and 25.92% increase in jump heights in the last step. Conclusion: It was observed that the 6-week F-V profile-based individualized training program resulted in improvements in jump kinematics. The F-V profile level of the study group improved from "high power deficiency" to "low power deficiency" but could not reach the optimum level. However, the training program based on F-V imbalance had a positive effect on spike approach steps, step times, and a significant improvement was observed in the height of the body's center of gravity.
