Abstract (EN)
In this study, it's been aimed to determine the adaptation mechanisms of some goat genotypes under Northern Cyprus dry climate conditions. Study has been conducted on the Damascus goats at the Goat Unit of Ercan State Farm. During the experiment, anatomical adaptation mechanisms, morphological adaptation mechanisms, physiological adaptation mechanisms and milking performances of does with rearing performances of kids have been examined under optimum and hot climate conditions At the end of the study, it's been determined that, increasing environmental temperature creates a thermal stress at arid conditions, but Damascus is well-adapted to the mentioned conditions.KeyWords: Damascus goats, heat stress, adaptation, Cyprus.
