Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to identify some disease agents of oyster (Ostrea edulis) samples that were obtained through fishing in Northern Sea of Marmara. Oyster samples obtained from Kumbağ-Yeniçiftlik (Tekirdağ) from November 2009 to April 2010. For bacteriological study, samples taken from oysters internal organs inoculated on Sea Water Agar (SWA) and TCBS Agar (supplemented with 1.5% NaCl). In this study, totally 60 oysters were examined and 44 bacterial strains were isolated. The isolated bacteria were identified by using standard biochemical methods and API 20E commercial rapid identification kit. In studied oysters, Vibrio alginolyticus isolated only as disease agent. However, in all study totally 44 bacterias, which 12 Vibrio, 31 Shewanella and 1 Citrobacter species, were isolated and identified.
