Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to provide a comprehensive assessment of the technical measures that can be taken to ensure the security of personal data processed under the KVKK and the GDPR. While KVKK introduces a number of legal regulations to protect the personal data of individuals within the borders of Turkey, GDPR is an important legal regulation that aims to ensure the personal data security of individuals in the European Union and its member states. Data security is of great importance for businesses as well as protecting the privacy of individuals. This study examines cyber threats to personal data security in the context of KVKK and GDPR compliance, and examines in detail how security measures can be designed and implemented against these threats. With the development of technology and digitalization, new requirements and challenges have emerged in the field of processing and storage of personal data. This study aims to comprehensively evaluate the technical measures that can be taken to ensure the security of personal data processed within the scope of KVKK and GDPR. It aims to provide strategic guidance for businesses and individuals to take the necessary technical measures to operate in a secure cyber environment within the framework of the obligations imposed by KVKK and GDPR. In the light of current technological developments, implementing effective strategies for the protection of individuals' personal data is among the main objectives of the study.
