The increasing world population and competition also increases the demand to energy. The exhaustion of conventional energy sources and being unable to meet such a demand for a long time directed the world to alternative energy sources. Geothermal energy as a renewable and completely environment friendly energy source steps forward among alternative energy sources with its wide range of use. In our country, having a rich geothermal energy source, there are some studies performed to benefit from these sources in the best manner. One of the fields where geothermal energy is used in our country is the geothermal central heating systems (JMIS).In this study, Kızılcahamam Geothermal Central Heating System is analyzed in economically and technologically. Afterwards, these data are compared with natural gas central heating system (KMIS) which is equivalent to Kızılcahamam JIMS?S. It is detected that JIMSs are more economical than KMIS and they are operable completely by means of own sources. Besides, regarding the environmental effects, it is detected that JIMSs are again superior comparing to KMISs.Key Words : Geothermal Energy, Clasic central heating System, Comparison of systems
