Anadolu Üniversitesi çift dilli öğrencilerin sözlü iletişim stratejisinde: Kod değişim durumu

Today, to speak more than one language has become essential. In fact, with the globalization, migration and international exchanges, people have been forced to face to other cultures and languages. Indeed, bilingualism had become an universal phenomenon as it's affecting more and more people. This is why our research aims to study immigrant bilingual students of French Language Teaching Department of Anadolu University. Our main objective was to analyse code switching as a communication strategy in interaction between turkish-french bilinguals. In order to do that we have used a case study of the quantitative method. In fact, we used observation in order to analyse the interaction between bilingual students, especially code switching utilization we used observation. In this perspective, interactions between 5 turkish-french bilingual participants have been observed and this observation allowed us to collect data and to analyze the interactions in which code switching is used. Then, we realized with 4 of our observed bilingual semi-directive interview in order to deepen our research and to validated our previously obtained results with observation. According to our results, turkish-french bilinguals used code switching as a communication strategy. However, using code switching may have many different motivations, which can differ from the speaker, the interlocutor, the goal and the communication subject.
