Siyasetin sermaye birikimi üzerindeki etkisi: Uşak esnafı örneği

The form of the relationship between capital accumulation and politics has been the most fundamental factor determining the existence of esnaf in Turkey since its foundation. Esnaf, who have been defined for various reasons in various periods, have been used for many purposes such as normalising exploitation, covering underemployment and making conservative discourse dominant in the public sphere. This study aims to reveal the place of esnaf in capital accumulation in Turkey based on the life stories, everyday lifes and future expectations of esnaf in Uşak. It is aimed to construct an alternative perspective on Turkey's social relations as a whole by revealing the dominant periods of capital accumulation and how the identity of esnaf has been formed historically.
