Abstract (EN)
Tolstoy is a master writer and by using words he is the best narrator of human body and human psychology. The great masterness of him is handling various issues such as war, love, betrayal, death, nature, religion and ethics themes all together in a vigorous manner. Tolstoy is not unengaged to his era. His scrupulous attitude bearing in mind the realities of the era had made him Czar of the literature. Though he was the strongest laureate for the first Nobel Prize ceremony in 1901, excommunication of Tolstoy by the Church disqualified him having the honor.Women characters in his some novels such as; Family Happiness, War and Peace, Anna Karenina, Resurrection are those literates as a mirror to his various periods, prominently shows the author's point of v iew to the women and women question. The number and variety of women characters in his novels shows Tolstoy is not irrelevant to the women question of the era. Under the influence of his near women surroundings and as a keen observer of events since his childhood, Tolstoy tries to create the ideal Russian woman. Thus, in his literatures Tolstoy attributed to his main woman character one of the traditional features of Russian women. He ascribes Natasha Rostova the joe de vivre, candid and tenderness of the Russian women. Patience, volition, pertinacity to Princess Maria; descendant wife and mother to Kitty and Darya Aleksandrovna; and ascribes Katyusha Maslova might and encouragement. But he chastised the other women characters out of his ideal figures. According to Tolstoy in case of contravention to the social conventions by women such as Anna Karenina convicted to be punished.According to Tolstoy the most important feature of a woman is maternity. A woman must be perfect with her etiquette, lifestyle, education, diction and her appearance. And also Tolstoy stand with the view of a woman must be educated and cultured. By this way a woman can only raise new generations that is beneficial to society and etiquette.
