The criticism of the society in L.Tolstoy's ''War and Peace'' and Y.K. Karaosmanoglu's ''Sodom and Gomore''.

In this study literary works: "War and Peace" written by L.N. Tolstoy who was known to be the genius writer of the 19. century Russian literature and "Sodom and Gomore which was written by Y.K. Karaosmanoglu known as the genius of Turkish literature who though started his artistic carreer In Fcri Ati group yet after left his gloomy world view and directed himself to a realist-naturalist artistic view , are comprehensively studied in terms of criticism of society. Social life, family relations , moral values, the occupy of the country and the public reactions against the occupy are observed based on social criticism with a mutual perspective in the works of Tolstoy's "War and Peace" and Y.K. Karaosmanoglu's "Sodom and Gomore". Common aspects are touched upon in L.N. Tolstoy's and Y.K.Karaosmanouglu's works which shed light to social criticism. Although they come from different geographies and eras, it is aimed to come to a conclusion that both L.N. Tolstoy and Y.K. Karaosmanoglu have presented a common attitude towards similar problems and situations. Besides touching upon their common aspects, their differences have been presented as well.
