Abstract (EN)

Side weirs were usually placed to the parallel to the flow direction. Different types such asrectangular, triangular and trapezoidal side weirs were used in applications and manyexperimental study were evaluated about theme. To increase the discharge length were usedlong crest of labyrinth side weirs, duckbill weirs which were usually placed to theperpendicular to the stream.Side weirs are usually used for control of water level in combined system that consist of dum,navigable canals, rivers, sewerage and wastewater. Labyrinth side weir was not tested withsuch building.Laboratory model was constructed with different crest high and angles for Labyrinth weir thatwas used for side weir with this experiment. Non-dimensional variables were determined ofthe discharge coefficients of Labyrinth side weir with using dimension analysis. To evaluatethe regression analysis with SPPS program, these non-dimensional variables were used. Theformula was evaluated which gives the Cd coefficients that consist of non-dimensional. Whenthe compare of experimental results and the result that comes from formula was same over80%.A few experiment has been evaluated about this topic, so some points in need to investigated.Key Words: Side weir, discharge coefficient, labyrinth weir, weir crest
