Abstract (EN)
Magnetocaloric effect (MCE) is the phenomenon of heating and cooling of the material by changing the entropy of the magnetic material as a result of the changing magnetic field. This effect provides the development of magnetic cooling technology as a result of detailing magnetic materials. Perovskite manganites, which gave good results in terms of MCE value, were the magnetic materials used in these studies. In this thesis study, La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 and La0.7Ag0.3MnO3 perovskite manganite samples were produced by using solid state reaction method. %75 La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 +%25 La0.7Ag0.3MnO3, %50 La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 +%50 La0.7Ag0.3MnO3 and %25 La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 +%75 La0.7Ag0.3MnO3 composites were formed and their structural, magnetic and magnetocaloric properties were investigated. Wide operating temperature ranges demonstrated by composite materials of 50% La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 + 50% La0.7Ag0.3MnO3 and 25% La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 + 75% La0.7Ag0.3MnO3 have shown promising for magnetic cooling technology.
