Özet (EN)
The purpose of this study is to determine the performances of laminatedwooden material, glued by various glues, impregnated by the mixture of wax /linseed oil (on the basis of ASTM 1413-07) and varnished by synthetic basedhouse varnish against the corruptive effects of external environment.Laminated panels with a thickness of 20 mm were acquired by banknotecoverings with a thickness of 2 mm glued by PVAc-D4, VTKA, RF and MF gluesin accordance with TS EN 386 that were cut on the woods of Pine (PinusSylvetsris L), Oriental Beech (Fagus Orientalis Lipsky), Castanea Sativa(Castanea Sativa Mill) and Sessile Oak (Quercus Petreae L.). Test samples wereprepared in order to determine the performances of air-dried density (TS 2472),retention amount (ASTM D 1413-07), dimensional alteration (TS 4084),deformity (TS EN 1310), lamination layer adhesion resistance (against paralleltensile) (TS EN 205), lamination layer adhesion resistance (against verticaltensile) (TS EN 319) from these panels. The samples were impregnated by themixture of wax / linseed oil and varnished by synthetic based translucentvarnish.Control samples (without proceeding), impregnated and varnished sampleswere kept in the external environment (ASTM G7) for 1 year and in UVenvironment (ASTM G154, ASTM G151-06) for 240 hours and some tests wereperformed on these samples in an attempt to determine the performancesmentioned above.According to the results of these tests, it is concluded that varnish proceedingprovides a better protection compared to impregnated proceeding, and that thebest result for dimensional alteration and deformity (distortion) is acquired byCastanea Sativa with RF glue and the best result for parallel and vertical tensilein adhesion resistance between the layers is acquired by Oriental Beech with RFglue. The representation rate of UV environmet for natural externalenvironment is determined as 87%. Accordingly, it is recommended that thewooden material to be used in the external environment be protected bysynthetic based translucent varnish instead of water-repellent impregnatedmaterial and Oriental Beech with RF glue be used in where high mechanicalcompulsion is vulnerable and Castanea Sativa with RF glue be used in wherephysical effect would be vulnerable.
