Abstract (EN)
In the treatment of chronic hepatitis B infection (CHB), the difficulty of administration due to the necessity of biopsy recurrence in the follow-up of treatment response and the presence of acid and coagulopathy in advanced stage patients is disadvantageous. At present, histopathological examination is still the gold standart for the assessment of liver fibrosis in CHB infection. However, it is an invasive and painful procedure that is associated with patient discomfort and in rare cases with potentially life-threatening complications. Additionally it does not allow the dynamic observation of liver fibrosis after treatment. So there is a need for enough number of studies related to the effectiveness of noninvasive tests as APRI and FIB-4 scores instead of liver biopsy. In our study, we aimed to evaluate the efficacy of treatment by comparing the APRI and FIB-4 scores in patients with hepatitis B patients who had lamivudine, entecavir and tenofovir treatments.
