Abstract (EN)

Introduction and Objectives: Laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) is a diagnosis and pathophysiology of disease is still not fully revealed. Because diagnosis of rejection by the patient and the diagnostic use because of the difficulty of implementation of monitoring pH which is considered the gold standard and take place between the approach to diagnosis in outpatient except research LPR diagnosis is more practical and need for a method that can be easily used for follow-up. Therefore, the evaluation of proton pump inhibitors after the signs and symptoms will be given empirically and support the diagnosis of symptoms after treatment has become more widely used diagnostic method. In this study, patients with suspected LPR symptoms and signs were scored. We used two different empiric therapy in the treatment protocol. The first and the third month of treatment symptoms and signs were scored and two protocols were compared superiority to others. Method: Bozok University Clinic of Otolaryngology, Faculty of Medicine and clinical patients admitted in 2015 compared to reflux symptoms suggestive LPR index were studied with suspected laryngopharyngeal reflux. All patients with head and neck examination, nasal and laryngeal endoscopic examination was performed. Laryngoscopic examination images were recorded. And signs detected during examination findings were recorded as reflux index. The study, which reflux symptom index(RSİ) ≥13 and reflux finding index (RFİ) ≥7, aged between 18 and 75 (average age 50.6), 12 men, 28 women, 40 patients were included in the total. Patients were divided into two groups randomly. 2x1 half an hour before meals as a group lansoprazole 30 mg, while the other group was given the form of 2x1 combinations of lansoprazole 30mg + Domperidone 10 mg. This pre-treatment of the patient performed RSİ and RFİ scoring, examination and treatment response was assessed again in the first and third month controls. Result: According to our study results, two protocols were compared before and three months after the end of treatment values. Using the proton pomp inhibitors with prokinetic agents in the combination have not advantage according to the using only proton pump inhibitor therapy.
