Abstract (EN)
This study aims to reveal the antimicrobial effects of essential oils obtained by water vapor distillation method on pathogenic fungi and bacteria from Laurus nobilis L. and Cistus laurifolius L. In this study, the essential oils obtained from each of the plants of Laurus nobilis (Bay Laurel) and Cistus laurifolius (Laurel leaf Cistus) were then tested for the presence of Gram-positive bacteria such as Bacillus subtilis, Enterococcus durans, Enterococcus faecium, Enterococcus faecalis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Listeria monocytogenes, Listeria innocua, Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis, and Gram-negative bacterials: Escherichia coli, Enterobacter aerogenes, Salmonella typhimurium, Salmonella typhimurium, Salmonella typhimurium, Salmonella infantis, Salmonella enteritidis, Serratia marcescens, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Pseudomonas fluorescens were tested against pathogenic bacteria and the pathogen fungus Candida albicans.
