Özet (EN)

The purpose of this study was to determine total phenolic compounds and antioxidant properties of Lavandula x intermedia, Mentha x piperita and Origanum onites. Folin-Ciocalteu and 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging capacity method, which are the most commonly used antioxidant activity determination methods, were used. The average amount of total phenolic compounds is 0.649 mg GAE/ml for Lavandula x intermedia, 0.732 mg GAE/ml for Mentha x piperita and 0.690 mg GAE/ml for Origanum onites. The highest phenolic content was found in M. x piperita, then in O. Onites and the lowest content in L. X intermedia. According to the DPPH radical scavenging activity, IC50 values were 0.035 mg/ml for L. X intermedia, 0.015 mg/ml for M. x piperita and 0.039 mg/ml for O. onites. According to the results, the highest radical scavenging activity showed M. x piperita.
