Analysis of instant vocal change during and after exercise with Lax Vox technique applied to voice students

Opera singers and people who study voice professionally need to familiarize themselves with the mechanism which produces the voice, and be able to use it without fault in order to obtain correct sound. Although mistakes in vocal training lead to results which are difficult to fix, various vocal therapy techniques administered by specialists and correct vocal training sessions can compensate for these anomalies. Treatment oriented vocal therapy procedures consist of holistic or specific approaches which offer help for complete and correct utilization of voice producing organs. This study examines the immediate vocal change analysis obtained by one of the holistic approches, Lax Vox Vocal Therapy Technique. The effect of this approach on healthy voices undergoing professional training is studied during and after therapy. In the first chapter, vocal therapy techniques are examined under three main headings. In the following second chapter, the development and function of Lax Vox as one of these techniques is introduced and its effects on voice-producing organs is studied. In addition, information is given on the position of this vocal therapy technique in vocal education and how it should be applied by the individual. The last chapter contains analysis of instantaneous vocal change which is observed during and after the administration of Lax Vox technique to voice students. The digital and graphic statistics of various parameters are also provided. In this way, the study aims to determine if Lax Vox Vocal Therapy Technique leads to an instantaneous change of sound production in voice students.
