Abstract (EN)

304L stainless steels are widely used in the industry because of corrosion resistance, easy formability, high strength, working at different temperatures. In addition, weldability is the most desired feature of the manufacturing industry. 304L austenitic stainless steels have wide area due to their good weldability. The biggest handicap in these materials is that Cr element, which gives its stainless feature, forms CrC precipitates during welding and precipitating at the grain boundaries. In case of stress on the welded area, these precipitates move away from the grain boundaries and cause stress corrosion cracking. In this study, stress corrosion behavior of 304 L stainless steels commonly used in the market is investigated and it is aimed to shed light on the industry at this point. 304 L stainless steel plates were welded by TIG and Laser welding methods. Welded samples were tested with microstructure, hardness, tensile and three-point bending tests. The results obtained were compared with non-welded samples and welded samples. Then, the second stage of the study that is stress corrosion behavior is investigated. Stress corrosion behavior was applied only to TIG welded samples. Some of the samples which were subjected to stretching with bending process were applied to sensitization for 4 hours at 600 ° C. Then, all samples were immersed in 10% HCl solution for 24-408 hours respectively and investigated whether stress corrosion cracking.
