Abstract (EN)
Zinc oxide (ZnO) and nickel oxide (NiO) nanomaterials were synthesized by hydrolyzed chemical method. The structural properties of these materials were analyzed by UV-VIS spectrophotometer, Scanning Electron Microscopy and FTIR techniques. The 4-octyl-4-biphenylcarbonitril (8CB) liquid crystal were doped by ZnO and NiO (1%wt.) nanomaterials. The dielectric anisotropy properties of the doped liquid crystals were analyzed using the dielectric spectroscopy method. The dielectrical anisotropy and critical frequency values of 8CB liquid crystal were increased by nanomateril doping. The obtained results indicate that the dielctrical anisotropy properties of 8CB liquid crystal can be improved by nanomaterial doping. Keywords: Liquid crystal, Nano materials, Dielectric anisotropy
