Abstract (EN)
INTRODUCTION AND AIM: To evaluate changes in both sagittal spinal and spinopelvic parameters in patients with Lenke Type I idiopathic scoliosis who underwent selective fusion surgery at a minimum of 2 years of follow-up. METHOD: Forty-two patients who were operated between 2010 and 2020 in our center for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis were retrospectively analyzed. Preoperative, postoperative and postoperative 2nd year sagittal and spinopelvic measurements, pelvic tilt (PT), pelvic incidence (PI), sacral slope (SE), lumbar lordosis (LL), thoracic kyphosis (TC), thoracolumbar kyphosis (TLK), cervical lordosis (SL) and C2 tilt angle values were analyzed using SURGIMAP© Software (Nemaris Inc. USA) measurement system. Preoperative and postoperative SRS-22 total scores of the patients were recorded. RESULTS: There was no significant change in the pelvic tilt and thoracolumbar kyphosis values of the patients. Statistically significant changes were observed in pelvic incidence, sacral slope, lumbar lordosis, thoracic kyphosis, cervical lordosis and C2 tilt angle. It was observed that the SRS-22 total score increased significantly during the postoperative follow-up period. CONCLUSION: Sagittal spinal and spinopelvic parameters continue to change continuously after selective fusion surgery. We think that long-term studies on this subject will increasingly require the pelvis to be kept in mind when evaluating the sagittal plane in AIS surgery. Keywords: Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, Lenke Type 1, Sagittal spinal and spinopelvic parameters.
