'Leyla ile Mecnun' hayranlığı: Facebook'taki işleyişi

With the innovations brought by internet technologies in the 21st century, great progress has been made in fan activities, fan works and fandom studies. Fans have become more visible and effective thanks to the opportunities provided by new media technologies. This study aims to reveal the journey of the "Leyla ile Mecnun" TV series fandom. In this context, the patterns and general motivations of L&M fan communities are explored within the framework of participatory culture. Secondly, the common causes and common cultural characteristics (meanings, jargon, activities, speaking style, etc.) that bring audiences together around fandom are explored within the theory of subculture. L&M fans maintain their existence around a common subculture in fan communities with a certain operating structure on Facebook. Three main zones are identified within fan groups: general group members, core group members, and administrators.The most important feature of this model, is the possibility of transitions between these specified zones. This situation allows new fans to have different roles, and to switch between zones with different levels of interactions, and also offers the administrators, who do not have the option to devote time to the group, the possibility of moving to the core group or the general group. This study is showing how a fandom lasts a long time with the opportunities offered by social media technologies and how to create civic power in fandoms as seen in the example of L&M fandom, which succeeded to rebroadcast the series that was cancelled years ago.
