The analysis of patriarchy and hegemony experiences of LGBTT individuals: Eskişehir

This study is about the descriptions of daily life and life experiences of LGBTT individuals related with patriarchy in Eskişehir. It is searched how the family as a heterosexsist institution internalizes the patriarchal system and how the forms gender construction is realized in society. In this study, it is discussed how the exclusion of LGBTT individuals, the politics of marginalization and the moral understanding patriarchal system related with hegemony has been perceived by LGBTT individuals. This discussion is firmly related with hatred murders as a result of homophobia/transphobia. Throughout the study, patriarchy, the obligatory of heterosexsuality, rape, the private is politics, the formations of binary categories, the construction of sex and sexsuality have all discussed within the perspectives and methods of radical and postmodern feminisms. The data achieved in this study could be summarized below; although most of the LGBTT individuals are sensitive to patriarchy and LGBTT movement, travesty/trans and lesbian individuals internalize the patriarchal values and quit from LGBTT movement because of low expectations.
