Specifically, the theoretical part has three chapters; chapter one deals with the tourism services marketing and defining the environment surrounding the facilities and tourists, chapter two discusses tourism issues between theory and practice it explores the sector of the tourism as industry and its benefits to developing proses. The chapter clarifies the essential role the tourism sector plays in the national economy and the considerable revenues that sector would generate. In addition, the chapter illustrates the attraction element in tourism sector in Libya. The empirical part consists of an extensive questionnaire that is handed to various agencies and individuals who are stakeholders of the topic of tourism. Those various parties represent our sample that is obtained from the city of Tripoli. The results of the questionnaire are rich as the number and variety of the questions are large. The questionnaire concludes that the work force in the sector of tourism is rich and various and the majority of them recognize the necessity of marketing in tourism business. Nevertheless most of the Libyan tourist facilities do not have a pre-set plan for marketing, the questionnaire reveals that there is shortness in the flow of information that is needed to marketing operations.
