Investigation of individuals in libyan higher education intended for e-learning (Zawia university case)

E-learning is web-based education, learning and information management activities carried out through internet technologies. Learning and teaching globally through e-learning systems will become more important and more popular in the next decade. There are many e-learning tools used in education. E-learning tools can provide education and training to a large number of students with different cultural backgrounds and educational levels. The effect of the technologies used in the educational quality of Libyan Higher Education institutions is very high. Considering the characteristics of the technologies used in Libyan Higher Education institutions, technology usage levels and technology usage approaches of individuals are among the important factors affecting education. This thesis aims to determine the intention of the teaching staff and students in Libya Higher Education Institutions in terms of Computer and Internet Experience, Computer Self-Efficacy, Technology and Internet Quality, and Attitude towards Technology and E-learning. For this purpose, two different scales were developed for both instructors and students. In the academic year 2017/2018, the scales were applied at Zawia University in Libya. A model of intent for each scale was proposed. The results of the intent models obtained in the study can be summarized as follows. Firstly, the main factors affecting the intention of e-learning use of instructors and students in Libyan higher education institutions were determined. Thus, the use of technology in the e-learning environment increases the motivation of both the teaching staff and the students. Second, the results of the study will contribute to the design and development of better systems by internet and technology experts. Finally, the differences between individuals in education in Libya's higher education institutions should be taken into consideration.
