Abstract (EN)
This research intends to analyze the effects of the leader and member interaction in terms of reliance between management/supervision and work satisfaction in teachers. Accordingly, the personal information form, -the survey form which consists of the scales of leader-member interaction with regards to management/supervision and work satisfaction- was applied to 384 teachers who worked in Bismil, Diyarbakir in the academic year 2011-2012. The data gathered from the surveys were analyzed by SPSS17.0 statistical programme in an electronic environment. Frequency and percentage statistics were used in order to define the descriptive characteristics of teachers while the average and standard deviation statistics were used in determining the levels of leader-member interaction, with regards to reliance between supervision and work satisfaction. Correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship among leader-member interaction, in connection to management and work satisfaction whereas regression analysis was used to determine the effects of leader-member interaction on managerial aspects and work satisfaction. According to demographic characteristics of teachers, Kruskal Wallis test and Mann Whitney U tests were used in examining the differentiation in levels of reliance on leader-member interaction, with regards to the connection between management and work satisfaction.According to the research results, it is statistically concluded that leader-member interaction has meaningful effects as far as management and work satisfaction are concerned. When the teachers? leader-member interaction perception increases, the level of reliance and confidence in their managers and work satisfaction also increases. Moreover; the research determined that, according to the descriptive characteristics of teachers, some differentiations in the levels of leader and member interaction, reliance on management and work satisfaction have been identified.Keywords: Leader-member interaction, reliance on supervisional management, work satisfaction
