Abstract (EN)
Recently, globally, society has witnessed the negative effects of a lot of events such as economic crises, terror, and epidemics and their importance while living through them. This thesis is about saying the right thing at the right time without information pollution and informing authorities about witnessed negativities. In plain terms it focusus on; leadership, whistleblowing, the employees' voice and loyalty. At the present time, while current events and the epidemic are taking thousands of lives every day, countries and organizations are first trying to stay a float and maybe then gain a competitive advantage. The notion of leadership is of utmost importance when trying to maintain whatever is left. Unethical and unlawful behaviour within the organization, whether by employees or managers, should be reported to interior or exterior authorities, in other words whistleblowing and, without criticizing, give voice to negativities in order to emphasize constructive discussions. Employee loyalty and Leadership styles along with whistleblowing and the employees' voice are important in order to realize these notions. I this regard, leadership's effect on whistleblowing and the employees' voice and the mediating effect of loyalty is examined. In this research 704 employees of private hospitals within the health services in Rize, Trabzon and Giresun which are located in the Eastern Blacksea region were reached. Artvin, Bayburt and Gümüshane were excluded from this research due to lack of private hospitals. The data was gathered using a survey techique, and later analyzed and interpreted with SPSS 21 and AMOS 22 statistical packages. The data was evaluated with the Structural Equation Method (SEM) after confirmatory factor anaylsis was done and the functioning of the model is verified. According to the research findings one leadership styles the authoritaian leadership perception has a negative effect on whistleblowing and the employees' voice, interactive and transformative leadership perceptions have a positive effect. In addition, the organizational loyalty perception has a partial mediating effect onthe interactive and transformative effect of whistleblowing and the employees' voice. In other words, a high level of a private hospitals' employees' organizational loyalty as in the case of hospital managers' choosing interactive and transformational leadership behaviour positively increased the effect on whistleblowing and the employees' voice. Accordingly this result, in private hospitals, especially considering human life, in order to promote whistleblowing, transformative and interactive leadership is reccomended as a solution.
