Abstract (EN)

Power is recognized as an important leadership quality. Leadership is a short definition; it is the person's influence on others and directing them to the behavior they want. During the realization of the direction, the leader benefits from some power sources. Leadership styles and power sources used by the leader vary according to each leader. The aim of this study is to measure the relationship between the leadership characteristics and power resources of clinical manager nurses working in a health institution, by evaluating them by other health professionals in the institution. Data were collected from 250 employees by means of questionnaires created using the Multidimensional Leadership Orientations Scale and Scale of Perceived Power in Executive Nurses. ANOVA analysis of variance and linear correlation analysis were applied using the SPSS (ver:23.0) program to evaluate the collected data. According to the analysis results; it has been observed that there are significant relationships between the power resources and leadership orientations of executive nurses. Significant relationships were found between coercive power and political leadership and charismatic leadership. No significant relationships were observed in other sub-dimensions of power and leadership scales.
