Abstract (EN)

The importance of well-planned and scientifically based training contents in terms of sportive performance is known. The effects of life kinetic exercises on performance and their contribution to the development of skill learning speed and coordinative abilities have attracted attention in recent years. This study was conducted to determine the effects of life kinetic exercises applied in addition to soccer training on mental endurance and basic motor characteristics of athletes. The research group consisted of 10-14 years old (20 male) volunteer athletes licensed in football branch. The athletes in the research group were applied a training program including life kinetic exercises in addition to football training three days a week for eight weeks. The "Sports Mental Training Inventory (SZAE)" developed by Yarayan and İlhan (2018) was used to determine the mental training levels and measurements to determine the basic motor characteristics of the athletes before and at the end of the training. SPSS statistical package program was used to analyze the data. Significance was taken as p<0.05. According to the results of the research; while there was a statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test values of flexibility, skill coordination, shuttle run, dominant hand grip strength and 30 meter sprint values of the athletes (p< 0.05), it was determined that there was no statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test values of body weights (p> 0.05). While it was determined that there was a statistically significant difference between the pre-test post-test values of the athletes' mental animation sub-dimension, p<0.05, it was determined that there was no statistically significant difference between the pre-test post-test values of the mental training scale total, mental basic skills, mental performance skills, interpersonal skills, self-talk sub-dimensions (p>0.05). As a result, it was determined that life kinetic exercises applied to athletes in addition to soccer training increased their basic motor skills and mental training levels.
