Abstract (EN)
The study examines the interaction of mental well-being and trust in manager on the work alienation among employees based on surveys in two countries sample. The data used in this thesis were collected through a questionnaire from 200 employees working in public catering services, 100 employees from Türkiye, and 100 from Kazakhstan. The study utilizes the PLS-SEM technique to reach a path model revealing the direct and indirect relationships between mental well-being, trust in manager, and work alienation. The proposed structural model also examines whether mental well-being acts as a mediator between trust in managers and work alienation. The results suggest that trust in manager indirectly affects work alienation through mental well-being. Although some relationships between the variables in the model were observed to differ in two different samples, the results indicate that trust in manager and mental well-being significantly affect work alienation. Findings also suggest that in both samples, mental well-being affects work alienation significantly.
