Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the biological rhythm and somatization levels of high school athletes and sedentary students in terms of some variables. During the research, the relational scanning method was used, and it has a descriptive nature since the situation will be evaluated. The universe of the research consists of athletes and sedentary individuals who are educated at high school level. The sample consists of 317 students studying at high school level in Yozgat, Çekerek and Sorgun districts. It was developed by the Biological Rhythm Assessment Interview (Giglio et al., 2009) as a data collection tool in the study. The Somatization Scale consists of 33 items in total, taken from the items of the Minnestota Multidimensional Personality Inventory (MMPI) related to somatization disorder. Validity and reliability study was conducted by Dülgerler (2000). Descriptive analysis, Independent Simple T-test and One Way ANOVA tests were used in the analysis of the data. According to the results obtained from the research, it was determined that there was a significant difference between biological rhythm and gender, sporting status, and somatization and sporting status.
