Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to investigate adolescent-parent career adjustment of high school students in terms of various variables. The sample of the study consisted of 526 students (131 girls and 395 boys) studying in four different high schools (science high schools, Anatolian high schools, vocational high schools and Imam hatip high schools) in Adana city center in the spring term of 2017-2018 academic year. Adolescent-Parent Career Adaptation Scale developed by Sawitri, Creed and Zimmer-Gembeck (2012) and adapted to Turkish by Akın, Gönülalan, Çebiş, Atik, Rezük and Akın (2014) was used in the study. One-way ANOVA and t-test were used to analyze the data obtained in the study by using SPSS 23.0 computer statistical program. As a result of the study, there is no difference in adolescent-parent career adjustment, gender, age, grade level variables and academic achievement level among high school students: It is seen that there is differentiation in terms of the variables such as school type, father education level, mother education leveln and variables. The findings of the research were discussed based on the relevant literature and recommendations were made for future research.
