The agressivity levels of high school students and the relation with their participation to sport activities

This research intends to determine the agressivity levels of the high school students and relation with their participation to sport activities. ?İpek İlter Agressivity Inventory? which has three sub-scales that named ranious agressivity, passive agressivity and assertiveness, was applied in this research and the data obtained at the end of the research was evaluated by ?t? test and one way anova statistical analysis methods. SPSS package program was used for evaluations. The results of this research can be explained as followings; there is no significant difference among the subjects that do not participate in sport activities and the subjects that participate in sport activities at ruinous, passive and general agressivity levels. But it is determinated that the subjects who participate in sport activities have more assertivensess characteristic than the subjects who do not participate in sport activities. According to the sexuality of the subjects that attended the research work, no significant difference was found at agressivity levels. It was determined that the girls who participate in sport activities have more assertiveness characteristic than the girls who do not participate in sport activities and than the men who participate in sport activities, too. It was pointed that there is no difference among the girls and men who do not participate in sport activities at the ruinous agressivity, general agressivity, passive agressivity and the assertiveness levels. No signifance level was determined among the subjects that participate in individual sports and team sports and among their branches. After the analysis of the subjects that participate sport activities according to their father? s education level, a signifance level was found. The subjects whose father?s education level is intermediate school have more ruinous agressivity than the others. The subjects whose father?s education level is high school, do not participate in sport activities have more passive characteristic than the others according to the father? s education level.
