It was found that exhaustion and reduced efficacy level of female participants was significantly higher than male participants, and cynicism didn't differ significantly according to gender. According to the results of the stepwise regression analysis self-regulation, self-efficacy beliefs and cognitive flexibility predicted exhaustion, cynicism and reduced self-efficacy significantly whereas social comprison predicted only reduced self-efficacy significantly.
