The evaluation of the relationship between high school student's life-long learning tendencies and questioning the meaning and the purpose of the life behaviour

The general purpose of this research is to reveal the relationship between high school students' lifelong learning tendencies and behaviors of questioning, and the meaning and purpose of life. In addition, it has been determined whether various variables (gender, school type, classroom, mother education level, father education level, leisure time activity) make a significant difference on high school students' lifelong learning tendencies and behaviors of questioning the meaning and purpose of life. In order to determine whether students' LLL tendencies and MPL tendencies show significant differences according to gender, type of school, class level, maternal learning status, father learning status and free time activity, t-test for independent groups in t directional analysis of variance (ANOVA) was applied. After one-way ANOVA, one of the Post-Hoc tests, Tukey test, were used to determine the significant differences between the two groups. Correlation technique was used to examine the relationship between the variables. According to the findings, there is a positive and moderate relationship between students' LLL tendencies and behaviors of questioning meaning and purpose of life. It was concluded that the gender variable was an effective variable on the LLL tendencies, whereas it was not an effective variable on the MPL scale. In addition, as a result of the research, there was a significant difference in MPL and LLL tendencies according to the school they attended. It was found that there was no significant difference in both MPL and LLL tendencies in the analysis examined according to class level and mother's educational level. According to the analysis in which leisure activities were evaluated, there was a significant difference between the students who chose to read books and the others, but this difference was not found in MPL scale.
