Examining the life satisfaction of high school senior students in terms of some variables: Siirt case

This study, which was conducted to examine the life satisfaction levels of senior high school students in terms of socio-demographic characteristics, was designed as a descriptive study in the relational survey model. The universe of the research in 2018-2019 academic year, in the central district of Siirt, senior high school students; The sample consists of 157 males and 143 females, a total of 300 students attending the last year in three different high schools selected with the appropriate sampling method. In the study, "Personal Information Form" prepared by the researcher and developed by Emmons at all., Griffin (1985); "Life Satisfaction Scale", whose validity and reliability study was performed by Köker (1991) and Yetim (1993), was used. The data obtained in the applications in the classroom environment were analyzed with the SPSS 20.0 program. Frequency, T-test, Anova, Dunnet's C multiple comparison test, Tukey HSD multiple study test and Mann-Whitney U test were used in statistical analysis. As a result of the research, it was found that the variables of mother's education level, relationship with family, who owns the house, father's occupation and family income level affect life satisfaction; It was found that the variables of gender, school type, father's education level, number of family members were not effective.
