CALCULATIONS OF AUTOIONISATION PROBABILITIES OF 2S RESONNANCE STATES OF LITHIUM ATOM (M.Sc. Thesis) Recep ŞAHÎNGÖZ GA^Z t UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY- September 1988 ABSTRACT Autoionisation states of three-electron atoms and ions have been studied. Physical incidents involving atomic resonance states have been given. A short infor mation about lithium atom and the techniques for the choise of. wave functions and parameters Ihave been explained britefly. By the help of the chosen wave functions, autoionisation probabilities of 2S resonance states have been calculated using the computer programme. Ill
