Integrated management system in logistcs industry a case study ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 10002

With the beginning of the globalization, the industry that firstly effected by increasing competitive conditions is one of which logistics industry. It is found out that increasing production and variations of service, increasing customers' expectations, complicated structure of supply chain depending on reduction of production life cycle, requirement of low cost, high level service, necessary of modern and contemporary of enhanced quality understanding. This situation caused that being for increasing service level at the same level by organizations. Therefore, it is emphasized why quality management system is significant for the organizations. In the study, quality management system by exemplify is studied in logistics industry. In first chapter, it is mentioned that importance of quality management systems in general perspective. In second chapter, it is studied that characterization, of logistics industry, economic size in the World, definitions of basic logistics terms, supply chain management, logistics activities, quality and quality management systems in logistics industry. In third chapter, it is studied that chronological literature view regarding quality and quality management in logistics industry. In fourth chapter, it is studied that definitions of quality and quality management system in logistics industry. Additionally, it is studied that characteristic of which quality management systems ISO 9001, ISO 10002 and OHSAS 18001 among quality management systems. It is mentioned regarding in organizations Integrated Management System (IMS) that integrated multiple quality management systems under one structure. In fifty chapter, it's given more cases full play in logistics. In the study, a survey was studied by targeting the organizations in business in logistics industry. A general review is studied in respect of survey questions outlook on quality awareness, quality management systems and its application level in the logistics organizations. Furthermore, it was measured in respect of Occupational Safety and Health (OS&H) awareness and its application level in the organization in logistics industry. The occupational accidents in logistics industry based on the data of survey were compared with the statistic data that the occupational accidents in logistics industry of Social Security Institution (SSI). Furthermore, in the study the same survey questions were disturbed to logistics organizations all over the World however, due to insufficient contribution by organizations it is partly considered that the lights of data on hand. In another study, Integrated Quality Manuel is prepared regarding integration of quality management systems in a logistics company in business in Turkey. In the last study, a survey is carried out with the same company' customers as regards ISO 10002 Customer Satisfaction Guidelines for Complaints Handling in Organizations. It is evaluated to aimed with survey questions that customer' satisfaction level, specifying complaints, determining of problems and repeating errors. In last chapter, the thesis was concluded along with suggestions by researching conclusion of the study.
