Abstract (EN)

In this thesis study, logistics management is examined in detail with an approach from the general to the specific. In this context, first, logistics, its development, its economical contribution and the main issues regarding logistics management were addressed in conceptual terms. In section two, it was sought to reveal the current situation of logistics sector in the world, EU and Turkey based on the contribution made by logistics to the countries? economies and the competitive advantage it has brought to the enterprises, to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and to make some suggestions. While the first two sections were authored with a broader perspective, sections three and four focused on logistic network designs that would bring competitive advantage to the enterprises, and were authored with a narrower perspective. In section three, following the explanations given on the problems having a similar structure to the logistic network problem, solution of which is explored in the practical part of the study, and on their solutions; explanations were presented on Fuzzy Logic, Fuzzy TOPSIS, Linear Programming and Mixed Integer Linear Programming techniques that will be used for solution of logistic network problem, subject of section four. In section four, the last section, it was sought to provide an alternative solution for the logistic network problem, which we formulate as sum of the supplier, warehouse selection and optimization. A hybrid approach using Fuzzy TOPSIS and mathematical model based on Mixed Integer Linear Programming together was adopted for solution. The study was concluded by solving supplier and warehouse selection problems using EXCEL and optimization problem using LINGO 4.0 package program. Keywords: 1-Logistics Management 2-Logistics Sector Analysis 3-Logistics Network Design 4-Fuzzy Logic 5-Fuzzy TOPSIS 6-Linear Programming 7-Mixed Integer Linear Programming
