Abstract (EN)
In this days treatment of locally advanced breast cancer is neoadjuvant chemoterapy. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy increases chance of surgery in primer operable breast cancers and increases survey time in inoperable and inflamatuar breast cancers. With neoadjuvant chemotherapy some parameters will be change before and after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Purpose: In this study we research changes of tumor diameter, in tumor tissue vascular endothelial growth factor, Ki-67, estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor and Cerb-B2 parameters with neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Materials and Methods: Between 2008-2013 at Department of Surgery in Medical Faculty of Çukurova University and Department of Oncology, a group of 69 patients between 28-76 ages who treated for locally advanced breast cancer. This study performed with retrospective and prospective analysis. Tumor diameter, in tumor tissue vascular endothelial growth factor, Ki-67, estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, Cerb-B2 parameters compored before and after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Results: We found statistically significant conclusions between before and after neoadjuvant chemotherapy for tumor diameter, in tumor tissue vascular endothelial growth factor, Ki-67, estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, Cerb-B2 parameters. Conclusion: In this study neoadjuvant chemotherapy will be statistically changes tumor diameter, in tumor tissue vascular endothelial growth factor, Ki-67, estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, Cerb-B2 parameters in locally advanced breast cancer. Changing of VEGF in tumor tissue shows us angiogenesis of tumor and ability of metastasis will be decrease with neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Changes of proliferation index of Ki-67, shows us neoadjuvant chemotherapy will decrease malign cell proliferation. We need more randomise clinically studies to evaluate vascular endothelial growth factor, Ki-67, estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, Cerb-B2 parameters affect to clinic. Keywords: Breast cancer, neoadjuvant chemotherapy, tumor diameter, vascular endothelial growth factor, Ki-67, estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, Cerb-B2.
