Özet (EN)

Louis Spohr (1784-1859), a violin virtuoso, conductor, musicologist and music teacher, was among the most important figures of his time with his works. Although he was deemed worthy of the greatest composer's monument for his works by many of his contemporaries along with Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, he is not in demand by the younger generations. Spohr had more than 150 compositions. Approximately 90 of them were his songs. The composer composed for clarinet, as well. His friendship with Simon Hermstedt (1778-1846), who was one of the most famous clarinetists of his time, contributed to the formation of today's clarinet repertoire. Having a perfect and amazing technique on the instrument of Hermstedt led Spohr to compose a lot of clarinet works. Clarinet Concerto in E-Flat Major Op. 57 which Spohr composed in 1810 is an important work that was added to the clarinet repertoire in terms of technique ad music.
