Evaluation of Turkey`s European Union membership process under the framework of Lausanne convention

In addition, by means of this study, usinghistorical and documental methods, it is also asserted that the membership processat the position it has achieved despite 42 years passed from the Ankara Conventionhas started to affect the rights, obtained through the Lausanne Convention, of Turkeywhich has established on the basis of the Lausanne Convention and has beensurviving in peace for 82 years, in a manner becoming against itself, and also that theEuropean Union has an intention to shelve the Lausanne Convention by keepingits own benefits always forefront.Key words: History of the Republic of Turkey, Lausanne convention, EuropeanUnion, Membership process.
