Abstract (EN)
The LPG electronic control unit (ECU) performs automatic diagnostics of sensors and data signals according to the different load and road conditions of the engine, controls the injectors to prepare the best mix quantity and deliver the prepared mix to the intake manifold at the right time. In order to prepare the amount of LPG fuel, the signals received from LPG pressure sensor, LPG heat sensor, engine speed sensor and gasoline injectors are transmitted to LPG electronic control unit. In this study, components of an existing LPG system were examined. Taking into consideration the operational stages of the system, the functional characteristics of the electronic control unit of the LPG system were analyzed and a new control unit was designed in the light of the analyzed data. The new LPG electronic control unit, designed to control 4 LPG fuel injectors installed on a 4-cylinder spark plug ignition engine, was tested under real road conditions. The performance of the test vehicle, fuel economy and the compatibility of the vehicle with the designed LPG electronic control unit were observed in different road, temperature and speed conditions and the suitability of the product was checked. This thesis consists of six chapters. In the first part, the aim and the subject of the thesis, in the second part, the summary of the literature, in the third part, general information about the subject is given. In the fourth chapter, how the LPG systems are diversified according to the types of engines used in vehicles with internal combustion gasoline engines and which technological developments have been shaped and the elements that make up a LPG system have been emphasized. In the fifth section, the parameters considered in the design of the LPG electronic control unit, obtaining the data required for the design from the test vehicle and the design stages of the unit are given. In the last section, results and comments are given. Keywords: Classification of LPG systems, LPG electronic control unit, LPG injection, LPG Fuel Systems in Injection Engines.
