Abstract (EN)
In this book, the author talks about the events that took place during the Ottoman Empire's rule in Lebanon and Syria, their causes and consequences, the place and time of the events, and the heroes of the events in a chronological order. It reveals when the power of the Ottoman Empire emerged in the Land of Damascus and the power competition that local elements experienced both with each other and with the Ottoman Empire. It reveals the Ottoman Empire's sympathy for other religions and how the Ottoman Empire struggled to end the crises in Lebanon and Syria. It is explained that the governments of France and the United Kingdom, who saw these crises as an opportunity to intervene in the region, intervened in the internal affairs of the Ottoman Empire by sending diplomats and soldiers and became influential in the region.
