Abstract (EN)
The Theory of Psychoanalysis is one of the greatest contributions to the analysis of the history of thought, artistic creation and production. Psychoanalytic Theory, which started before Sigmund Freud but was given a theoretical unity based on clinical observations and interviews, is not only a theoretical study that reveals the causes, symptoms or other symptoms of psychological neurosis. Psychoanalytic Theory, which provides revolutionary innovations in many fields ranging from art, philosophy, cultural structure to sociology, is one of the most widely used areas of art and paintings. Psychoanalytic Theory has also brought a different perspective to the very important concepts that are at the basis of the theories of art. Sigmund Freud, who took the concepts of subconscious and instinct in a completely different way, has also made the concepts of Structuralist Personality Theory and Id, Ego and Superego a conscious part of artistic production. Perhaps the most scientific approach to questions about how artists and artistic production have been discussed for centuries has begun with the Psychoanalytic Theory. The period in which the most powerful effects of Sigmund Freud's revolutionary theoretical work was felt in the first half of the 1900s. This study, which is an integral study of the works of Lucian Freud, Francis Bacon and Carl Gustav Jung, who were born in these years and are among the most important names of contemporary art, also influenced these artists during the production process. Expressionism, Surrealism, Conceptual and Avant-garde Art, which were the other important artistic movements and directions of the period, were also influenced by Freud's Theory of Psychoanalysis as well as carrying the Critical Spirit of World War II. For this reason, in addition to presenting a complete content analysis in sub-headings, it has been discussed in general by using Psychoanalytic Theory. The study of the paintings by Lucian Freud, Francis Bacon and Carl Gustav Jung will be evaluated through this theoretical framework.
