Abstract (EN)
Ideological changes and developments occurring all over the world have interacted differently for each branch. Art, like other branches, reacted to this change and entered the path of renewal and change. The effects as a result of a number of political events have lasted for centuries and have touched every area while entering the path of renewal. The art of opera was also influenced by different ideological reasons and revealed itself in art. In this study, the place of humanism and the political events of the French Revolution, which developed after the 18th century enlightenment period, in the first and only opera of Beethoven, Fidelio opera, was examined and analyzed from an ideological point of view. In the research, first of all, the ideological elements of the 18th century enlightenment and before were determined, and the extent of their impact on society and art was discussed. The importance of this effect on Beethoven was first investigated, and then the ideological reasons in Beethoven's period were investigated. Along with these ideological reasons, the changes and developments in music were examined and their importance for Beethoven was discussed. The ideological elements in the opera were examined by establishing a connection with these ideological reasons, which were investigated in terms of the Fidelio opera that Beethoven composed during his period. As a result of the research, most of the ideological reasons in history created awareness by affecting the society and the artists, and as a result of this awareness, the works that were made to increase the awareness on the society by reflecting the political events that took place in the artists' own works of art throughout history, and as a result of this awareness, this is the case with many operas such as Fidelio and Mozart operas, which are still in operas today.
