viSUMMARYThe Romanisation process in the light of Latin and Latin-Greek bilingualinscriptions of Lycia and Pamphylia.Between the 1st and 3rd centuries A.D. a process of Romanisation occurs in the citiesof Lycia and Pamphylia as in the whole Asia Minor. After the Province of Ciliciainstituted in the 1st century B.C. and the actions of pirates in the region are suppressed,Italici of veterani and merchants settled in Pamphylia while Lycia is still independent,and after the Province of Lycia is instituted in the age of Claudius in A.D. 43 a policy ofRomanisation applied by giving Roman citizenship to prominent Lycian families. PaxRomana, which was constituted in the imperial age, accelerated the process ofRomanisation.The aim of this work is to search the books and articles for Latin and the Latin -Greek bilingual inscriptions which are determined up to year 2005 and gather them as acatalogue by regional and typical classification after reexamination. The process ofRomanisation in Lycia and Pamphylia is to be understood better by reexamining theseinscriptions. The catalogue will be a written source for the further researches on processof Romanisation which had occured in Lycia and Pamphylia, the privileges of nativefamilies who had got the Roman citizenship, distribution of the Roman emigrants in theregions, the colonization policy and the provincial administration of the Roman Empire.In this catalogue the inscriptions of Lycia and Pamphylia are classified by ancient cities insequence from west to east and the type of inscriptions in chronological order todetermine where, when and in which type of inscriptions the Latin Language is prevalent.
