Abstract (EN)
Archaeological heritage sites contain important information about the civilizations that lived in that region in the past. In the light of this information, it provides an opportunity to understand many subjects such as the lifestyles, socio-cultural structures, understanding of architecture and art of those societies. Therefore, archaeological heritage sites are places that strengthen the link between the past and the present. These areas need to be moved to the future not only physically but also with sustainable conservation decisions. Opening the historical textures to the public with various architectural arrangements and presenting the scientific data in these fields to the visitors with contemporary presentation techniques increases the awareness and interest of the societies towards the sciences such as archeology, architecture and history. Since the middle of the 20th century, the approach to exhibiting the works obtained by archaeological methods in museums far from the excavation area has been changing. With this new approach, it has become important to protect and exhibit archaeological sites and artifacts, as well as transforming these artifacts into a way that the society can understand. Archaeoparks, which are the contemporary presentation method of archaeological heritage sites, are an area management approach where archaeological remains are exhibited in a way that the society can understand. Within the scope of the thesis, an archaeological site design will be proposed by discussing the effects, benefits and problems of the applications as a result of the data collected from the archaeopark projects in Turkey and abroad. In the light of this design, the archeopark project prepared in Lyrboton Kome Ancient City (Antalya) will be analyzed.
