The education inspectors', school administrators' and teachers' views about changing process of educational supervision

This research is conducted to evaluate the opinions of education inspectors, school administrators and teachers about changing process of educational supervision. The study group has selected from the education inspectors, teachers and school managers working in Sivas in 2019. When determining the working group, the maximum variation sampling technique is used. A semi- structured interview form which is created by experts is used. The opinions of education inspectors, teachers, assistant managers and managers are saved by using the taking notes and voice recording technique. A semi-structured interview form has been chosen in order to allow the participants to deeply examine the different answers given during the interview and reasons for those answers and to generate new questions. Obtained datas were transferred to computer according to participants' opinions. Participants' answer were examined using the content analysis. So, obtained datas were examined more detailed. According to results of this research, participants have largely negative opinions about the continuous changing of the educational supervision. Participants think that educational supervision may change but this changing process should have a plan and purpose. According to many of the participants, supervision is necessary. So, the education supervision may be systematic. Participants evaluate the classroom supervision with necessary of the supervision. A lot of participants express positive opinions about removing of the classroom supervision. Some of the participants express necessity the separating of the ministry inspector of educations and city inspector of educations but a lot of participants express that there will not be big modifications. Many of the participants express positive views about removing the supervision from the city center. And many of them have got the suspicion about the changing supervision system so participants express changing the supervision system hasn't got any plan or purpose. Also, participants express the importance of the guidance activities. The occupations such as education inspectors, school managers and teachers, should be carried through experts who graduated from master's degree and have merit. As generally, many of the participants express that the change of the educational supervision is inevitable. But this process should continue as consciously. Participants suggest that contemporary supervision's requirements should be applied. Participant's another suggest is that ministry should plan the in-service education and hand on the philosophy of the using supervision system to the participators. Remarkable suggestion of the participants are that ministry should look to the supervision by focusing to the guidance and university and ministry should cooperate more effective.
