Abstract (EN)
Aim: This study aimed to determine problems of survivors of Soma mine accident which occured May 13, 2014. And also to determine, how they solve these problems and the effect of social support mechanisms to solve them. Meterials and Methdos: The data in the case of design research were obtained through semi-structured in-depth interviews. In data collection phase, audio recording had been received. After that records had been written out. 14 mineworkers has joined. the research. Findings: The mean age of the participants was 31.86 and all are married. The highest proportion of those surveyed are living in psychological problems. Besides, it is found that participants are having familial, physical, environmental, economic and job related problems. Apart from these,there are several problems such; alcohol use, convenience to orientation, media related problems, incorrect information transfer. Results: The results of the research shows that both professional support and social support mechanisms are effective for the problems encountered. It also seems that they apply social support more than professional support.
