Özet (EN)
Nowadays magnesium alloys are interested of a lot of sectors because of a light metal and the using of magnesium alloys are gradually increasing automotive, aeronautic and electronic industries. AZ91 alloys are the most using alloys in whole magnesium alloys. However these alloys have only been manufactured with casting methods. They haven't done forging methods. Recently, many studies have been about AZ91 alloys manufacturing with hot forging methods. In this study, AZ91 magnesium alloy is investigated deformation ability at different temperatures. Tensile tests are used to assess deformation ability. Three different structures of AZ91 alloy is tensile process at different temperatures. These structures are casting, homogenization and T6 heat treatment are applied specimens. Homogenization heat treatment is applied the specimens that are hold 12 hours at 415 °C. T6 heat treatment is applied the specimens that firstly are hold 12 hours at 420 °C and quenced with water. Then specimens is artificially aged for 4 hours waiting at 215 °C. Tensile tests are done 25 °C, 250 °C, 350 °C and 400 °C temperatures. From data are obtained in these temperature, the highest strength values are reached at 25 °C within all specimens and strength values is always decreased when the temperature of tensile test increase. At 25 °C strain values are very low levels. Strain values temperatures increase at 250 °C, 350 °C and 400 °C, namely deformation ability increase with temperatures. Casting and T6 specimens are obtained very high strain values at elevated temperatures and the highest strain is reached at 400 °C. These strain is seen T6 specimen with 0,51. But all homogenised specimens is obtained maximum strain value at 250 °C. As a result of the done experiments, deformation abilities of the specimens are analyzed in according to values of the strains. The strain value of the highest is obtained T6 specimen. Although deformation ability of casting specimens have a intermetallic brittle microstructure, if temperature increase, ability of deformation is increase. But these specimens are seen to not reach as high as T6 specimens. The strains values of homogenised specimens are much lower values than cast and T6 specimens.
